Leash: Dogs must remain on leash at all times with the handler not dropping the leash or giving the leash to someone else to hold.
Media: When your dog is being photographed, please be in the photo or have your hand visible in the photo holding the leash.
Barrier: Before placing your animal on a person’s lap in a facility, place a clean towel or sheet over the lap.
Grooming: Bathe your dog within 24 hours of your facility visit
Volunteer Attire: Comfortable and casual clothing is acceptable, with an emphasis on professionalism. Adhere to the dress code of the facility you are visiting (e.g. blue jeans, sleeveless tops, and open toed shoes are not acceptable in many hospital settings)
Elevator Etiquette: Ask people if they mind that you and your therapy animal are on the elevator with them.
